    Hello all

Can I take this opportunity to flag a series of regional, fully-funded CPD sessions that the Transformation Trust, a state secondary school education charity is offering to KS3 maths teachers in schools with above average FSM. We train teachers to use the lesson plans designed by an advanced skills maths teacher, where students take on the role of a concert planner, using a range of maths techniques to decide which acts will be most popular, make budgeting decisions around ticket prices, food and merchandise, using shape, area and nets to design a stage and geometry to make sure lighting is at the right angle to light up the whole stage. It works really well with the new curriculum, placing problem solving at its heart. Sessions are running online, and face to face in London, Birmingham and Manchester, after school (4pm) in early February. Please get in touch if this is of interest or for more info.
