  1. 20 minutes is quite a long time so you need to do an intro then send them off to do an activity.
Your planting idea sounds really good and would easily stretch to that time, but think 20 mins with the parachute would be too long. We are coming to the end of our growth topic so it might be worth you calling the school to see what they have been doing this half-term.

I've got a couple of ideas:
    - Seeing as we're getting close to Easter, why don't you hide some eggs outside for them to collect and count. They could talk about who has more/less You could put numbers on them (or on paper inside) for number recognition. Or chicks with numbers on them? You could start the session with some quick number recognition so see what they know and adjust your teaching accordingly.
-Sing 5 hot cross buns from a bakers shop with props (or as the chn make some hot cross buns with dough). Count how many left after each child has bought one and talk about one less than. You could even taste some real hot cross buns.

    Good luck!
