    Hello All
Just wondering what everyone does; if you were being observed teaching a literacy session would you only have activities available directly related to the LO? or would you put a range of activities covering all the areas of learning that link to the main theme?

I would do whole class input then have small group with follow on literacy activity and then some other literacy focussed activities around in the other areas such as letters in the sand maybe or perhaps related more to the LO. I wouldn't make all areas have a literacy focus as some children should be following their own interests.

Thanks, that's what I do too. Just wanted to check!
