    Hi there

Are there any EYFS exempt Reception teachers who could let me know how you plan? Need some refreshing ideas! Do you still use development matters?

    Thanks!

What do you mean by EYFS exempt?
We are an independent school, but are still obliged to submit EYFS data, be moderated and have Ofsted pop and see us sometimes.

Schools can request excemptions to certain ELGs. Steiner schools usually do this. Independent schools can also apply for excemption against learning and development requirements, but have to meet other criteria. In reality not many do.

In terms of planning, you would just plan for what you do, much of which will be compatible with the EYFS anyway.
