I've just published six free lesson plans for exploring chemistry in mixed ability KS2 SEND classes. They were developed with the staff and students at John Watson School and tested by the staff and students at Frank Wise School and teachers of SEND pupils at the Association for Science Education Conference 2017. The work was supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry Outreach Fund.

They aim to harness the pupil's curiosity to get them exploring chemistry in a hands-on style; with minimal prep or cost. They include ways to adapt them for your pupils, stretching the most able but affording opportunities for all. Not just limited to KS2, they work from nursery right through to KS3. You don't need to be a scientist to make them work!!

I hope your class enjoy them as much as we enjoyed developing them
