    Hello, I'm an experienced teacher (Early Years/primary) and would love some advice on getting a teaching job after having been overseas for 5 years.

    Keep an eye on TES Jobs online and apply for the posts to which you feel best suited?

    Perhaps you should go back overseas, harvo4. I returned to the UK once. Big mistake.

    Returned from overseas in June. Struggling to get a post. I’m beginning to think being over 50 is a huge disadvantage. Supply has been sparse so far.

    It is just hard for older teachers to get to interview unfortunately - perhaps maths teachers have an advantage, but in primary ......
