Anyone offer me any advice: I am late 40's and have decided to take a serious look at job hunting for an EYFS/Primary job in Cornwall. Imagine my shock when you fill in the equal opps form to find out they ask if you are Cornish. What with the big builders prioritising local people down there, am I wasting my time even applying? Any thoughts anyone? Many thanks

About 10 years ago a friend in her early 40's took a chance and moved to Cornwall. She couldn't find work for a while but eventually became a teacher and later a head. She took a risk and had no ties.

Never heard of that! I'd not be worried, though.

If you meet the criteria, then apply.
