  1. Hello,
I am a PGCE student and have just found out I have my first interview for a reception class. I am to take in an object to engage children in a new topic for 15 mins. I was just wondering what you think expectations would be...do you think I would be expected to keep children on carpet as it is only 15mins, and as it is to introduce a new topic should it be broad or related to a specific goal in one area of learning. Opinions?

Well done for getting that interview!
I am not a Primary specialist, and this is an applications forum. So you'd best go and ask this on the Primary Forum.
Best of luck on the day!
