Expat mortgage

  2. The woolich were prepared to give me a mortgage before I leave, birmingham midshires also do some.

    They've really tightened their mortgage legislation after recent problems.
    Last summer I tried to buy a second home - an investment for my daughter - by seeking a small mortgage and having the assets to cover the cost. Because I worked overseas it was going to be very expensive to use one of the available lenders, which took a long time to locate online.
    As usual you can always find the money if you are prepared to pay the price. In my case the additional costs just made the investment not worthwhile.
