What are your hopes for the new national schools commissioner?

Sir David Carter's appointment coincides with the Department for Education's plans to 'beef up' the national role to give the commissioner a greater role in overseeing the eight regional school commissioners.

What powers would you like to see the new national commissioner have to ensure that the approving and monitoring processes of new and existing academies and free schools is robust and effective?

I'd like them all to be sacked because they are just another redundant layer of bureaucracy... the real REAL work of education happens in classrooms across this country. These posts? Over-glorified paper pushers and jargon-generators.
