Exam analysis

Discussion in 'Modern foreign languages' started by MoragCooper, Sep 8, 2011.

  1. I have asked to write an analysis of the recent results for SLT. Has anyone done this yet and could they advise me of the way to word it considering the fact that our results dropped dramatically due to the writing results fiasco.

    Merci bien.
  2. I will do an analysis by skill
    For example
68% met their target in Listening
74% met their target in reading
92% me their target in speaking
16% met their target in writing
For 90% of pupils, writing was the weakest skill. I will then include an action plan and link to some of the comments here with a strong inference that the exam boards have dropped an almighty bo**ock, and it is not my fault!.

I did a skill by skill analysis too. X was predicted a D and got a D etc. I also compared grade boundaries (speaking and writing) between 2010 and 2011 to illustrate the point that it's become even harder to do well in MFL.
