Every time I apply for a job, or every time I get an interview?

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by I_like_food, Mar 22, 2011.

  1. Just wondering when to broach the subject with my head, I am on a temp contract until the end of the year and my job is looking unlikely for September and he has already said about keeping one eye open on jobs. Therefore he is obviously aware that I am looking

I just wondered though whether I need to tell him every time I hand in an application form for a job, or only when I know one has been successful?

he'll get requests for references anyway, so he'll know. you only really need to tell him when you get an interview.

I think it's a common courtesy to let your HT know, even if just a quick e-mail message.
