Those who want to leave, leave and go and live somewhere else.

Those who want to stay, stay.

That's the sort of things migrants say.

No. I want to live here just as I do now, in the EU.

So why don't you bog off?

There are plenty of empty houses in Spain. We should encourage all our pensioners to move there the climate may be good for their health. Benidorm could probably elect an English MP.

Would definitely be good for my knees but probably bad news when it comes to operation time.

Hospitals and clinics are OK, it would be useful if you spoke Spanish so you get the correct knee replaced though. Espana is not so good on social care, its best if you take a son or daughter to look after you.

The drain on the NHS by benefit tourists is an issue that needs addressing alongside immigration for the out campaign. At the moment it all seems to be about businesses and snipes about Boris dumping Cameron. We are better off out.

Do you have any meat to put on these bones, Grassy? Actual numbers, costs and the sort of thing the benefit tourists are being treated for?

Where do you imagine they're coming from? Might there be some from the war zones that Britain played a part in?

Would you be happier if we paid for the cost of their treatment in the counties they came from, less the cost of what paid to get here?

You could just go and look this up yourself, you know.

    War

The last time we were at war with a country now in the EU was about 70 years ago, I think. I might be mistaken, but I am sure you'll tell me. If you can't be bothered looking up facts, why should I?

    Costs

Shouldn't have to pay them at all. The N in NHS should tell you that. When we are out of the EU, then the EU can pay for the treatment of as many as they want, wherever they want.

    Happy?

The solution is simple. Just have a tiny group of elected experts ensuring trade deals are set up and respected. Do away with 99% of the irrelevant bureaucrats on the payroll.

Give the people the right to vote on matters and not least the above group's performance every 4 years.

Two problems here though. The EU is run by fake socialists and if there are two things such 'socialists' do not want it is less money for themselves or more democracy for the people.

Pity really as if this was done, I'd vote yes.

You made the comments; others shouldn't have to look up your evidence...

Its difficult to quantify how many people are thought to travel to England from all over the world to deliberately get free NHS treatment or to take advantage of the health system while they are here. It's believed that they may cost the NHS between 100 and 250 million a year.
The other 1.5 billion cited in the Daily Mail is made up of foreigners who made use of the NHS for genuine reasons. this can be offset by the number of British people who are using the health services of other nations while they are outside the UK therefore saving the NHS money.
The NHS costs us about £350 million a day. So health tourism costs the equivalent of about 12 hours a year of the total NHS running costs.
It is an insignificant amount of money and to be used as a political slogan by the Out campaign shows just how willing they are to lie and twist statistics and makes me move more towards Remain.

This is a very narrow view of the EU referendum debate it is much wider than abuse of our NHS/Welfare systems via economic/illegal/'cheap labour' Migrants and border control (Important as they are).
It should be about being able to govern ourselves, about being freed from the shackles of "ever closer political union" and the unelected in Brussels dictating our economic/fishery/agricultural/social/legal systems and policies. It is about who we trade with.
It is about our nett contributions of around £55million a day which could be put to better use here.
As I see it we are losing our independence and freedom to act as an individual nation in favour of the liberal pretence that masquerades as the EU.
Fear factors are now starting to dominate and stifle the debate.

I like this idea. Those who want to stay in a country run by British people stay in Britain, those who want to be ruled by Brussels, go live in Brussels.
