    Hello everyone,

I did my Level-5 DET two years ago and started working full time as an ESOL (employability )tutor at an FE college in Birmingham. I couldn't do my Level 5 Subject Specialism as there was no provider within my distance. I have a Masters degreein English Language and Literature and I am told that I don't need a specialist degree. I am confused. What do you all say?
I want to work as an ESOLtutor, but having to teach Maths is putting me off. I am also interested in teaching literacy. My question is if I specialise in literacy, can I still be able work/look for jobs in ESOL/functional skills/literacy? Thanks
