    If you remember Morcambe and Wise and you didn't catch this on BBC 2 then I would recommend you get it on I player ASAP. A really top quality production.

    Seconded, blazer. The kind of thing that the BBC does so well.
    The young actor who played Eric Morecambe was astonishingly good, IMO.
    Also looking forward to the Hattie Jacques biopic with Ruth Jones. I read the authorised biog of Hattie over the summer and she led quite a life!

    Did anyone else watching 'Eric and Ernie' spot the covert return of the dreaded Papa Lazarou from 'The League of Gentleman'?

    No kidding, Reece Shearsmith played the young Ernie's dad, and for part of their double act he blacked up. Scary flashback moment there.

    "Hello Dave, looks like you're my wife now..." ;-)
