We are looking for a middle or secondary school anywhere in the UK to contribute to a significant new ERASMUS research project currently being piloted by the University of Gloucestershire, along with partnership organisations in Romania, Italy and Lithuania.

The project is called ‘GROWE’ (‘Get Readers on the Wavelength of Emotions’) and aims to promote both students’ disciplinary literacy skills and socio-emotional skills in tandem. The project is due to last three years and will focus on developing and testing an in-service teacher training course to better prepare teachers to address their students’ disciplinary literacy and socio-emotional learning needs in the classroom. We are aiming to focus primarily on students in KS3 contexts.

If you feel this is something your school may be interested in exploring with us, we would love to hear from you and can send you an information pack detailing the project aims and objectives more comprehensively, in addition to specifying what a school’s potential involvement would entail, as well as the benefits you could expect to gain from your association with the University of Gloucestershire and the project more generally.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Dr Ben Screech - Lecturer in Education at the University of Gloucestershire - Bscreech@glos.ac.uk.
