If you enter some students in year 9 for English gcse, does it count towards the a-c score for that year or 2 years later?

year in which they are 16 I believe (that's what it used to be)

Bearing in mind the move to all terminal examinations and the E Bacc, it is not clear if early entry exams will count at all in any form of league tables. Be careful that you do not end up in a situation where pupils will have to retake their exams just to count towards your A*-C.

Thanks. Can you summarise 'the move to all terminal examinations' - is it essentially no resubmissions and controlled assessments scrapped for 100% exam?

not sure about CA being scrapped, but no MODULAR exams (ie those taking during the GCSE that count towards the final grade) - all courses would be LINEAR with the only exams coming at the end.
