Enrichment afternoon science club

Discussion in 'Secondary' started by Jesta123, Apr 22, 2011.

  1. I'm thinking about starting a 'Fun Science' club during our school's weekly enrichment afternoon but I have no idea where to start. Has anybody run a club like this before & if so, where did you get your ideas/resources. I have run one in a primary school before and used a bought in award programme with lesson plans and ideas already done. Does this exist for KS3 at all!?
    Many thanks

  2. Thanks for mentioning the British Science Association's CREST Awards - you can find out more information about these at:
    www.britishscienceassociation.org/web/learningzone/index.htm
Your students could work towards Bronze CREST Awards at KS3. There are also a number of other ideas, resources and packs in the Learning Zone weblink, as well a link to the STEM Clubs network.
