Hi. As a department, we are looking at whether to stick with AQA for English Language A Level or whether to move to OCR, Eduqas or Edexcel. Does anyone have any experience of the latter three and could outline the pros and cons. We're interested in students' response to the specs but also your experience of contacting the boards - how easy is it to talk to an expert? (Not intended to come across as a criticism of AQA - they've always been great in this respect. We're just exploring other possibilities rather than just doing what we've always done.)

OCR’s was great...I loved the original writing task, where the students take a text and adapt it into a new genre and then analyse it. We had all sorts of rich texts. Also like OCR’s focus on spoken language. Edexcel is a bit flowery and fiddly for me,
