I am considering teaching Functional Level 2 English classes. I would be grateful if someone could tell me more about what I would be required to teach. I know I would have to teach reading(comprehension ) and writing skills , however, I'm not sure if there is a spelling test and speaking and listening test too. Do different exam boards have different requirements?
I would be grateful for any relevant information about Functional Skills Level 2 English.
(I posted this thread a few minutes ago but there was a typo in the title which I have no idea how to edit).

We taught this at my last placement, through NCFE. I don't remember a spelling test but there was a speaking and listening assessment.

Best thing to do is to read the specifications and hope the moderators repost this to the English Forum.
    Links to specifications below.

OCR require you to do training for the speaking and listening part of the assessment. I am less familiar with the other qualifications so have never needed to find out.
The specifications are about to change, but true to form, details are only sparingly available at the moment.
