I've been asked to look into CPD for English that can be completed remotely by staff during the school closures. I wondered if anyone had any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a primary school setting.

Maybe ask staff to look for one they think they would like to do?
If all staff find ones that are relevant to them and of interest, they are more likely to complete them and share what they learn.
An imposed by on high course won't have the same impact.

Alternatively give it a couple of weeks and the internet will be full of companies offering courses to take advantage of the situation.

Tell whoever asked you to do this to take a hike - the school closures surely mean all staff have more work to do than ever before. They don't need more piled on top. If they need CPD in anything, it'll be ICT courses on google classroom and the like.

Agreed with tb. Take the time to adjust/tweak your existing resources to maximise their worth for home learning: more exemplars, modelled paragraphs, quizzes, guided instruction etc. We're even looking to make short clips for direct teaching. Although it is work now it will be invaluable when things return to normal e.g. for cover lessons, long term supply or even as models to new/trainee teachers on how things are done.
