End of term ideas?

Discussion in 'Drama and performing arts' started by rstevens45, May 28, 2012.

  1. My Grade 9 GCSE course has but two more weeks of Drama. We're doing monologues but honestly we're all a bit pooped at this point. This won't be graded coursework until the autumn. Any fresh ideas on what to do with monologues to keep them interesting, and students interested, for the time remaining?

  3. use mobile phones to add music and film them?

  4. You could get them to write them for each other - and then direct the actor they wrote for.

You could given them song lyrics to perform as monologues.

You could get them to write and perform their own monologues based on a theme or stimulus. Or you could experiment by performing them in different styles/ using different techniques e.g in a Brecthian style, in the style of Artaud/ Stanislavski etc.
