Hello All, I really need some feedback. I just received a highly ambiguous contract to go work in Morocco that had phrases which basically said the position and duties of teachers and the benefits could be changed modified or dropped by the school at their sole discretion. I know that type of phrasing is often written into international school contracts, after all I have taught at 4 International Schools. However, the one time the ambiguity became an issue in my contract for me and several of my colleague, we were protected by the labor laws of the country we were working in. I am coming off two really bad teaching experiences and am now worried that such an ambiguous contract can land me in another situation where the managment disrespects and takes advantage of the teachers. Of course, it doesn't mean they will, but this school is undergoing growing pains and there were some negative things said about the school in the past. I do believe they are trying to improve, but when it comes right down to it, the school is privately owned and the "Board" could decide to make changes at will. What do you think? What would you do in a situation like this? Thanks for feedback and any advice.
