    Hello,
I'm looking for some recommendations for fiction books with an Egyptian theme for my Year 4 class. I can only seem to find non fiction books and want a good class reader/ books to do some literacy on!
    Thanks!

One of our classes read a book called the Time Travelling Cat and the Egyptian Goddess earlier this year. There certainly seems to be an imbalance towards non-fiction books to go with that topic.

round here, the City Schools' library service is fantastic for this sort of query. If you are lucky enough to still have such a thing, get in touch. I talked to them last month and three big boxes of books turned up a few days later.

Rick Riordan did a series linked to Egypt similar to the Percy Jackson books. Not amazing but plenty of adventures and battles and stuff which engaged my boy heavy class.

We use Varjak Paw. It's more Mesopotamia than Eygpt and a bit of a tenuous link but the kids absolutely love it and surely that's more important?
