Hi there, I am an NQT and I am trying to complete my Induction portfolio. I was considering having positive behaviour management and effective questioning as my two plans of action. What would effective questioning look like in the classroom? If the focus was on a grammar point, there would be lots of 'what is the Spanish for x' "and why did you say that?" "how would we write this for x (say a feminine noun now)" Effective questioning - think, pair share - would this be another system? Pair checking answers? It's something that I would like to develop as a teacher and I thought the Induction portfolio would be a good place to start, however if it's too complicated I may change my to something else - active learning perhaps.
