Edexcel GCSE History - Unit 3A War and transformation of British Society. How to make this interesting for students!

Discussion in 'History' started by rjoneslich, Nov 28, 2011.

  1. Hi there,
I'm a student teacher who is not too far away from being qualified, but one of my major concerns at the moment is my GCSE class. I am responsible for delivering Edexcel Unit 3A to the class, but the group is rather low ability in nature, and a few lack motivation. Taking into consideration that this module is predominantly source based, I spend a lot of time with the group running practice exam questions, but I appreciate that this does get boring for the pupils.
I am just wondering if anybody on here teaches the same course and could possibly advise me in relation to making this module interesting and stimulating for the pupils!?
    Many thanks
