Edexcel AS Drama and Theatre Studies Unit 1

Discussion in 'Drama and performing arts' started by purpleduck, Sep 4, 2012.

  1. Hi
Does anyone have any schemes of work/resources for Edexcel AS Drama Unit 1 that I could beg, borrow or steal?
I have been somewhat thrown in here at the deep end with a Year 12 class. Our one and only drama teacher is off ill (very ill) and as the Performing Arts/Dance teacher, it's been decided by the powers that be that I obviously know enough to start a brand new course until she returns!! As we are teaching A Level for the first time, there are specific resources.
I have read the spec inside out and am pretty sure I 'get it'. But I am not a specialist and am struggling with play choices and the whole scheme of work thing!! And I really don't want the kids to suffer for my inadequacies!!
It's an all girls school if that makes any difference and 20 of them have opted for it!!
Thanking you in advance for any help anyone is able to offer.

  2. I have some things like schemes and a long term plan you can look at / use.
I have 20 plus this year also if that helps!!
Email me on nwyllie@hotmail.co.uk and I'll send you what I've got.
  3. Any chance you could send me any schemes? I am currently devising a scheme of work for a year 12 class for unit 1 and I am an NQT - first time teaching 12s. Just confused about exactly what I should be putting in, any help would be appreciated!
