  2. Thanks Mark,
Just to check then - the Additional Applied doesnt count?
    What about 21st Century?
    Thanks for the advice.
  3. Its the same for 21st Century. This was confimrned by one of OCR's chief examiners at a recent OCR training session on the new specs. If they don't do additional science it doesn't count. So much for student choice!

The qualification has to be GCSE.
If any part of the title says "applied" then it doesn't count.
If 21st is approved then triple and core / additional will count/ (If this is not the case, my school, along with many others will be more than somewhat aggrieved)

I wonder whether AQA Science B will count - it doesn't have "applied" in the title, but has a vocational approach?
  6. The "International Certificates" (the UK versions of the IGCSE) will also count for EBacc.
As yet, only Cambridge have accreditation from Ofqual, so their Certificate and IGCSE count. Edexcel must be close to accreditation for Science Certificate / IGCSE (they've got Maths and English through).
Don't know how far advanced the AQA "IGCSE" is, but it looks like it's going to be quite hard...
