easy spanish song for KS1

Discussion in 'Modern foreign languages' started by katiekatie, Jun 19, 2011.

  1. Hi, As part of a languages day I am doing some spanish activities with a Year 2 class. Football is my main theme (any ideas for that will also be welcome) but also want to include a song. it has to be learnt in half an hour and neither me nor the children have done any spanish before. Can anyone suggest a song and links? thanks in advance. I'm covering for another teacher so haven't had a chance to search for anything.

Please feel free to have a look at the songs I have done with the children in my primary school http://spanishstpauls.blogspot.com/search/label/song The only one we have done with a football theme was the Wavin' Flag - David Bisbal version - from the World Cup last year. My Y1s last year and this year have loved "Un pulpito", and my Receptions love "Con mi dedito digo sí sí" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ENMhzglVkg) and "Soy una Taza" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTzTFQbdYEQ) In fact any of the Grupo Encanto ones are good.

I would really recommend buying Take 10 en español, which has some really fun songs in Spanish which come with videos to show you all the actions. All the children at my school like the Spanish version of "If you're happy and you know it".

    Hope this is useful!
