Never bought an Easter egg before Easter, even growing up it was a slab of chocolate. I remember years ago all those eggs that came with a branded mug and we used to buy those half price afterwards. We still use the KitKat, mars and maltesers ones, it was a cheap way to buy a mug. The egg was just a nice extra....

£1 at Asda for decent eggs. Had a delivery yesterday and I had to hide bits and pieces from the kitten who is getting an easter basket with uk and usa chocs!

One big difference is the usa has solid choco bunnies but here, they are hollow - shocking!

I've bought my partner a Mini-Egg hamper in a lovely wicker basket. Over a kilogram of chocolate combined and a basket that can used for storage in the future etc. More chocolate, less waste.

    £25 from Amazon.

Make your own, moulds can be bought from a company named after a wet part of England or the company named after a South American river. You can then fill them or decorate them with names etc.

You could have bought a basket and a kilo of mini eggs for a lot less than £25.

In the past I've kept the plastic packaging from rate eggs and used it as a mould to make next year's chocolate eggs. I also have some egg shaped jelly moulds. There is something slightly disturbing about a jelly egg.
