Have any of you got the news of the earthquake (7.5)? Watch BBC news at 6 tonight and find out more.
There has been lots of earthquakes this year. But this is one of the most shocking ones!
Just found a good site:http://earthquaketrack.com/p/pakistan/recent.
I'm quite surprised you didn't write that sentence in Bold and give it a few more exclamation marks.
True, True ok then- But this is one of the most shocking ones!
Why is it shocking? Periods of frequent tectonic activity are just part of geology. One incident along a fault line often sets something else off. I don't think it's the End Times. It's certainly more widely reported now so probably seems more frequent.
"Small earthquake in Chile; not many dead" wouldn't do for 24 hr news stations.
Don't fall victim to sensationalism, teaachingking!
2015 has been a routine year so far for earthquakes, perhaps one or two more than usual over mag 7.0, and only one over 8.0 in Chile. But nothing to match the huge 9.1 and 8.6 earthquakes off Sumatra in December 2004 and April 2012.
