I have been told by local authority that a team member holding a degree in Archaeology and then went on to do a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Primary age range 3-12 with special reference to 3-7) is NOT able to work in ratio in a nursery setting. We have look at the statutory requirements and thinks this is wrong. Any advice/experiances greatly received.

    Does the person hold QTS?

Have attached a cropped version of the letter she gave us(so no details). Hope you can make it out.

The letter clearly states that this person has QTS:
Why on Earth your LA think this is not acceptable, I can't work out.

I too am at a loss.
I have emailed DofE in hope of an answer I can refer my L.A to but don't hold out much hope.
Thank you for your reply. Sometimes just to have someone unrelated to the issue give their opinion helps to stiffen my back bone (don't really like arguing with L.A )
