    Hi there,

Can you teach in secondary with an early years practice degree? If so, what subjects might it permit you to teach?

    Thanks

Most schools require you to have QTS. You do not say if that qualification includes it.

If you have QTS you could teach in any age group regardless of what you trained in. Some schools will take on unqualified teachers (those without QTS), but not many.

In both cases, you would need to demonstrate that you know how/are able to teach that age range and have the required subject knowledge. You would be going up against people who have been trained to teach that subject and have been doing so for a while, so you would need some pretty powerful demonstratable ability.

So yes it is technically possible, but few people would be able to pull it off. If you don't have QTS a teacher training route would be a better option.
