Final call for the 1pm TES meet next Thursday 25th, via King's Cross O'Neills, leaving from platform 1

There is a buffet service on this train:

In the event of engineering works, tickets will also be valid on this service:

    Current passengers:

@primarycat - "might need to go fairly early"
    @sabrinakat - "after 4pm"

    Platform ticket holders:

@Over_the_hill - "might come but I’m moving classrooms AGAIN"
@Orkrider2 - "I might be able to come and celebrate my last day of being 40..."

I might manage to join up for this one but don't count on it; the way I feel at the moment, I might just sleep until next Friday! I'm not going to be able to make the other meet due to holiday. I don't want you to infer that I didn't enjoy the last meet from any non attendance.

    I will be there.
Looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces.

I’d be very pleased to meet you skrobson (so terribly British I know). I’ll see how much moving and sorting I can get done on Monday and Tuesday while the kids are chilling.

Just to bump this up - I may bottle out due to the horrendous heat forecast for Thursday (ranging from 36- 39 degrees.) If it weren't for having to use the Central Line, it would be more bearable. I went out this morning at 9 and it was very hot then and I gather the Central Line has been insufferable, even in today's more 'clement' temperature. I'll definitely go on Sat 10th though, barring a repeat of this apocalyptic heat...

If the kids have been chilling in this weather, then they're exceeding expectations.

O'Neills Kings Cross - details above.

Table for 7 booked from 1pm to 6pm. I'll get there around 12pm, and will be waiting downstairs.

I hope everyone listed above will be able to make it, despite the heat. Don't worry if you're not there for 1pm. Better late than never.

I'll have a stiff one ready for everyone.

Now I feel like a real party pooper! It really is the thought of the Underground which is putting me off. My biggest fear is being stuck on the Central Line between stations. I read a report today saying they might be able to put air con on the line in eleven years' time....

Currently returning from another trip and the signs at my local train station saying reduced trains tomorrow due to the heat... !

I would have cancelled if I had been due to come. I would have been worried about leaving my dogs in this heat. I am regularly wetting their cooling bandanas today and tomorrow is due to be several degrees hotter.

Well I'll be there, barring some disaster on the tube.

I could circumvent any potential tube problems by cycling, but maybe that wouldn't be such a great idea. Look on the bright side - there'll be a gentle breeze tomorrow apparently.

I know it's different, but I would worry about my cats as well.

I don't blame you! My journey is less than half the distance of yours and I'm not looking forward to it at all.
