I am bored and want to buy a box set of dvds.
I have the complete multi series -
    • dads army
    • the wire
    • the sopranos
    • buffy
    • the green wing
    • northern exposure
    • life on mars / ashes to ashes
Please could someone suggest something for my next purchase?

Battlestar Gallactica - the new one, not the old one. Can't reccommend highly enough. Enjoy. From the edge of your seat! Aaaaaah! The Cylons! Aaaaaaaahhhhh! Who are they? Where are they? Tension and drama! hurrah!!

    Gallacticia sounds engaging!
I shall have a look on ebay.
How do I tell which is the new one?

Farscape, I have only ever seen the odd episode, from the beginning would make sense, possibly.
Cracker - is it like midsomer murders?

Sorry, didn't give much info on it lol.

Here's what Amazon says as my Friday night brain cannot string sentences together...

Hugh Laurie stars as the brilliant, but sarcastic Dr. Gregory House, a maverick physician who is devoid of bedside manner. While his behavior can border on antisocial, Dr. House thrives on the challenge of solving the medical puzzles that other doctors give up on. Together with his hand-picked team of young medical experts, he'll do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to solve the case.

I love it and have all the box sets (series 7 is currently on TV).

The old one has this cheesy 1970s vibe (it being cheesy 1970s fare), adn the new one is 200something and very glam and most excellent thrillery, clever, political dramery...basically excellent. Rush out tot he shops and purchase forthwith.

Or Spaced. That's good for a laugh.
  13. yes! I borrowed this off a friend and watched the lot in a few weeks!
  14. I was about to recommend it. I've been watching it on Sky and really enjoyed it. Treme, by some of The Wire people is also good, although it was reviewed as "disappointing" and an anticlimax after The Wire. I thought it was good though - more an immersion in a city than a straightforward narrative.
