I wonder if the draft posts that are automatically saved (unless we actively delete them) can be read by TES mods?
If so, they could be party to a whole other conversation that never becomes public.

In that case I hope none of them are offended by vulgar swearing.

I often write posts and then abandon them . . for various reasons . . . usually RL interruptions or distractions . . .occasionally i am surprised to login (after a few days) and see my draft post there . . .and I'd completely forgotten writing it

Can this not be about the game of draughts instead? I was taught what the Old Fourteen Opening was when I was a lot younger and having mastered it, never since lost a game.

Oooh, I never thought of that @kibosh! My erudite and pithy words of wisdom, or more likely incoherent ramblings, could be floating in the ether forever more.

Same here. They're far too good for this site.

But Tes_Rosaline or Tes_Ian may have read them and posted them(on your behalf, but without you knowing) on Darth TES . . a mirror website that explores and exposes the unexpressed and unexpressable thoughts of TESers . . . mwa ha ha ha ha!

Can you imagine the same thread titles, but the conversations made up of all the unposted drafts?:D

I would think that they probably can (at least at some level)
The drafts are linked to individual profiles
Whether the mods would bother to look at them even if they can is entirely another question.

I am sure that they get to see post-posting edits though and that they probably cause some amusement :D

Joking aside you may be closer than you know to the truth ;)

    Elementary courtesy Aspens
She was visibly working at the time and I just thought I'd say hello

Visibly working? Could you see her?
    Wow.

You can see who is online - including TES staff if they so choose.

Yes I know you can see a list of those online.
For all he knew, though, Tes_Gillian could have been having a snack and a break. She was not necessarily "visibly working" unless he could see via the hidden camera he might have installed.

    Sigh

But if you click on their name, it gives you a message.

eg ''Tes Gill was last seen performing moderating duties two minutes ago''

.....and the same for any poster who hasn't hidden their online presence.

At least some people on here have the same curiosity as I do. :)

It is not entirely unknown for me to look at what people are currently and/or recently doing on here and when I posted the moderator in question had been viewing threads on Personal for some time.
I just thought I'd be friendly and say hello.

Yes! I'm curious too. I think it's that I thought moderators would have their privacy settings on hide!

Going back to drafts, I really appreciate them, as you can guarantee I'll get interrupted whilst posting, but on the other hand, I've sometimes forgotten that the draft was there, and added a fresh post, ensuing in gobbledegook.
