    Double 1 is 2
    tap it on your shoe
    Double 2 is 4
    stamp it on the floor
    Double 3 is 6
    do some finger clicks
    Double 4 is 8
    put your arms up straight
    Double 5 is 10
    let's do it all again
(now put them in the den)

  8. My year 1's used to love this finger rhyme (put up pairs of fingers as you do it)

Double 1 makes 2 now you know just what to do
Double 2 makes 4 can you think of any more?
Double 3 makes 6 standing up, straight as sticks
Double 4 makes 8 any more you'll have to wait
Double 5 makes 10, clap your hands and start again!

  9. My kids love this one!
1 and 1 is 2, one for me and one for you,
    2 and 2 is 4, that's a couple more,
3 and 3 is 6, straight and crooked sticks,
    4 and 4 is 8, seagulls on a gate,
5 and 5 is ten, tall and short men,
6 and 6 is twelve, puppies dig and delve,
7 and 7 is 14, naughty ghosts are haunting,
8 and 8 is 16, mothers' busy mixing,
9 and 9 is 18, passengers are waiting,
10 and 10 is 20, we have all got plenty.

  11. There's also a song called Mr Double Trouble that my daughter used to sing. Might be worth a Google!
