    Which year group?
Last half term we did a dance (Y1) using ribbons as streamers, did work on their own, then pairs then into 4's. They loved using the ribbons.

Year 3. Like the ideas of using ribbons, but have none and refuse to spend my own money any more! lol

I would spend the first 4 weeks doing a part of the main dance. Then spend the last 2 weeks putting it all together and performing. Getting the kids to dress in appropriate colours is effective and free.

If you have any old material in your stock cupboard you can cut 1" wide strips as effective ribbons.
