I have to give an inset about JAWS as my head Teacher tells me I am good with G&T students.

    Can anybody what JAWS is?

American enrichment programme. Joining Ability With Subjects, or something (as far as I remember).
  3. Take your pick:
    JAWS Job Access With Speech
    JAWS Journalism and Women Symposium
    JAWS Japan Anthropology Workshop (Australia)
    JAWS Joint Airport Weather Studies
    JAWS Just Another Windows Shell
JAWS Joint Advanced Warfighting School (Norfolk, Virginia)
JAWS JAGC (Judge Advocate General Corps) Warfighting System
    JAWS Juneau Airport Wind System
    JAWS Jamming And Warning System
    JAWS JMEM/Air-To-Surface Weaponeering System
    JAWS Joint Analytic Warfare Systems
    JAWS Joint Attack Weapons System
JAWS Japanese Animation Watchers Society (Calgary, Alberta)
    JAWS Judge Advocate Warfighting System
    JAWS Joint Automated Worksheets
    JAWS Joint Anti-Armor Weapon System
    JAWS Joint Air Weapons System
    JAWS Joint All Weather System
    JAWS Joint Analytic Worldwide System
  4. JAWS is also a piece of software, a screen-reader type thing, for use in conjunction with other software programs so that blind/visually impaired students can access things they couldn't otherwise.

  5. It is education delivered in bite sized chunks.
  6. It probably means Just Another Worthless Scheme.

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

Iwas going to say that if I were in the OP's position I'd be oh-so-tempted to entertain my colleagues with a talk on the Japanese Animation Watchers Society - but I think talking about the film would be even more fun.

Thanks for your "help" people and teachers.

I have found that it stands for "Job a Like Workshops"

I will be working with people who do the same job as me, or people SMT think do the same job as me
  14. ***? and *sigh*
Someone was paid actual money to think that up.

Sounds like a load of 'big jobbies' to me. Maybe you can deliver the workshop 'flush' with excitement.

It is going to be a doss.

I have to host a group of teachers who all teach the same subject as me and discuss things of interest to us all.
