Does anyone know where I can find a sheet for children to record possible ice cream combinations - for maths?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by CloakandWings, Jan 29, 2011.

  1. I know, it's a totally random request, but I'm doing some maths planning and wanted to find something where children could record the possible combinations of ice cream flavours. I'm sure I've seen something like this before, but now can't find it!
    I found this:
    http://illuminations.nctm.org/lessons/combinations/Combinations-AS-IceCreamCones.pdf
but it's too hard - too many flavours!
    Anyone?
    Thanks, C x

  2. Or, it doesn't have to be ice cream! Anything similar? x

It's not a sheet but an online game that I discovered this week on a site called 'shine and write'
This is the web address http://www.transum.org/software/SW/
We were using the broken calculator game and I came across the ice cream game.
    Hope it helps.

Don't think it's quite right but
    https://www.tes.co.uk/ResourceDetail.aspx?storyCode=6062634 any good?
    Or this

  5. Oooh, thank you! That looks like a great site. I've copied the screen shot and will turn it into a sheet from there. I'd love the kids to be able to do it online but we don't have enough technology for that yet!
    Thanks again, C x
