Do you all plan from Development Matters?

Please can everyone reassure me that when you plan, you take your objectives (for the child or class) from Development Matters in the EYFS.
I have now had 3 nursery nurses (main experience in nurseries and children's centres) who did not appear to have experience of planning using objectives, and especially not taking them from Development Matters. All of these NNs have trained in the last couple of years.
I assumed that all EYs training nowadays consisted of actively using the EYFS, and in particular the Practice Guidance document.
