Do part-time jobs have to be advertised?

The only job that has to be advertised nationally is that of Headteacher (though there is a get out clause for even them). The school can offer other jobs to whoever they want. Most schools will have a policy they follow; either their own or for their LEA.
  2. Thanks for that. The school I have in mind is an academy so should have its own policy. I suspect in terms of the huge money-saving policy they have in place at the moment, they won't advertise!
