Do I need to provide a fit/sick note and discharge summary after operation?

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by fairyflakes, Apr 5, 2011.

  1. I originally advised I was having 2 days off last thursday and friday but my recovery is taking longer. My GP has signed me off till Sunday which is the beginning of the Easter break. His note says he won't need to assess my fitness after that so I guess the sick/fit note is enough unless I return before the end of the week. The bursar wants to claim on Supply insurance. I cant see how that affects Health and Safety law. Thanks

Sorry - I misread your post as you having made a MORE speedy recovery than expected. You should be able to get a hospital discharge note from the ward you were on.
