Do I get paid for the summer if I've resigned?

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by aseasyasthat, May 4, 2011.

  1. Dear All
I'm currently working at a private school and planning on resigning at the end of the year (with the 6 week notice requirement). Will I still get paid for the summer holiday? I started in September 2010 so am assuming that my one year contract carries over to September 2011?
    Many thanks

Your contract should say when it ends. If it ends September 2011, be sure to put the last day of August as your resignation date and not the last day of term.

  4. Great, thank you.
