I know B&Q and Focus do. Dad is coming with me to buy wallpaper and he'll have his card with him... He seems quite keen to get me the 10% off...

3. I much prefer Homebase to B&Q, and I'm a pensioner. Homebase don't do the 10%. I just use Focus as it's five minutes walk from us.

Homebase do do a discount, but your dad'll have to apply for their discount card in-store. My dad has one and he used it when we bought some doors to build a cupboard in my bedroom.

Ba nd Q do their discount for oaps on Weds and Homebase just give points which gets you a voucher to spend every so often,

6. They sometimes have ten per cent off on Fridays and or Saturdays.

Homebase is no more. It's rebranding as Brunnings.

Sounds like a Gentleman's Outfitters.

Why? The update doesn't even contain correct information. The Aussie company that bought Homebase is Bunnings not Brunnings.

Apologies for the typo. You are right, it is Bunnings.

@elledriver, could you enlighten us by telling us why you resurrected this old thread? I am curious.

I went to Homebase. It isn't there anymore.

Couldn't you have started a new thread about it, if you wanted to tell everyone?

Well it sounds to me like you didn't go there then.

We need compact threads. We don't need >100 on Trump when a dozen would do.

Ours is still Homebase. I shop there now and again - especially since they started price-matching Screwfix

Just Google "discounts for over-60s".
There are dozens of sites.
I'm looking forward to my cheap seat at the pictures tonight!

I'm surprised the swear filter allows us to have a Screwfix:eek:

Odeon do it for over-55s. £3 inc Tea and biscuits. A bit random, perhaps they want retired police officers?
