DIY Baseline Data

Due to a number of problems, we're some way into term at my school, and still have very little baseline data that could be used to set reasonable targets for GCSE. At this point I think this data would be very useful as I feel that some pupils are being judged too much on their current ability, rather than their progress or potential.

We've just lost out SEN coordinator, and have a very small staff body, so I was wondering if i might be able to find a kind of DIY baseline test, similar to MIDYIS, or CATs but for GCSE. Any ideas?
