    Hi all,

I am a SEND Teaching Assistant who works within specialist provision and I am currently completing my third year studying Children and Young People.

As you can imagine due to COVID-19 this is a really stressful time for a final year student.
As a result of schools closing my original method to gather data has been restricted, therefor I am having to rely on social media and online chat forums such as TES.

I would really appreciate it if you could spare 5 minutes of your day to complete my survey.

Please note, all data gathered will be stored in conjunction with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

Can I just point out that making our email address a required answer in question 1 you immediately make the confidentiality and anonymity bit tricky ;)

Standard practice in these kinds of research surveys is to include an optional question at the end along the lines of 'I would like to contact some people afterwards for follow-up questions. If you would be happy for this to happen please include your email address below'.

I woiuld also say you need a question that differentiates responders by role. For example, if you get 20sencos answering this, it will skew your data hugely and you won't know why. Likewise, if you get 20 NQTs responding it will skew the other way and you still won't know why!
