You only posted a link to basic climate change.

    Nothing about a hothouse scenario.

I haven't posted you any links at all.

Post something about a hothouse Earth scenario and you have the beginnings of a point.

Apologies, you are quite right. I was too complimentary.

How do you suggest I post discussions I had with acquaintances during the 1970s-80s? You might care to ask Jonathon Porritt and Satish Kumar, both of whom I discussed matters with.

When you said it (Hothouse Earth) was readily under discussion 40 years ago, I didn't think you meant in a pub with a bloke you knew.

If it was readily under discussion, I would expect some sort of proper record of it.

Is there an echo in here?

I have some photos of Satish Kumar with Green Party members at one such meeting at the Bath House Cambridge organised by Friends of the Earth in 1983. Will that do as a proper record?

Back in those days we believed in action not gathering data and typing up reports as you teachers seem to enjoy so much these days.

    Sounding like Pink Floyd.

I don't doubt you were there.

You weren't discussing the hothouse Earth scenarios though.

Scintillant, we are all all lowly catastrophe-deniers in your book.

So now you know what other people were discussing?

This is incredible... you've dug a hole so deep I don't see you ever getting out.

This gets my vote as the most inane observatiion I have ever read on here.

How so? No-one is denying the science. No-one is saying do nothing.

And if that is the most inane then I suggest you read more widely. Your attempt at a "biting" comment comes across as a bit petulant.

'Hothouse' is nothing but eduspeak. An alarming title for rehashed theories such as the "double blind" we talked of even further back to the 1960s. Hothouse earth scenario is simply built upon stuff that has long been discussed and acted upon already by some people who are prepared to go further than glueing themselves to trains.

    As is the case with

teachers and middle managers that adorn 'schools' today, there is an arrogance among some that assumes their knowledge is fresh and new, ground-breaking....when in fact it is anything but, all the ground work and hard grafting having been done decades earlier

How does the track record of uninformed loudmouths look?

One of his better efforts too.

Talking of being in a hole, he's been in one so deep for so long that despite hitting rock bottom, we can't hear him asking for another spade.

I literally showed you an example of a poster doing this just above your post the last time you asked me.

As long ago as yesterday I think.
