I seem to recall being told some time back that on the Continent their digital service is different to the one we opted for in the UK. Is this true and if it is will a UK standard digital radio pick up stations in France (I don't need Brit stations, French ones will be OK)?

Hasn't fully started here yet and will concern only largest cities at first: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Lille etc.
You can find out more from Wikipedia: " Radio Numérique " and change into English if necessary. The change to full digital TV was only completed for the whole of France at the end of last year to give people time to get equipped due to the size of the country.

Thanks. Strange, in the UK we did it the other way round. radio first then the TV. They are just doing the last few areas with the TV now.
