Did I imagine the word 'too'?

Discussion in 'Personal' started by FelixU, Jul 26, 2011.

  1. Nobody uses it on Facebook - not even people who seem to be able to write everything else correctly and today in my local paper they have a 'to' where there should be a 'too'.

Has 'too' been sacked for having too many Os?

(Sorry if this thread is to, I mean two, I mean too boring!)
  2. I have quite a few teenage niece's and nephew's on face book and often I spend so long deciphering their writing I give up.
    For example:
listning to airaplanes man it relly brings back memris.
This is an easy one but is it really that hard to spell the words correctly.

I'm sorry but I had to do this - no apostrophes required for plurals!
  4. Sorry my brain is dead at the moment. What a mistake to make on a thread about grammar!
  5. Some errors may be due to
    -predictive text.
-hearing the poor speech patterns of TV/film / singing 'stars'.
    -not being corrected at home.
-not being taught correctly at school - lots of teachers I know have poor skills in this area.

I say: bring back hanging for all grammatical errors, spelling errors, punctuation errors and other errors that people make.
